Abstract

General Secretary Xi Jinping's discourse on the construction of ecological civilization is the condensation and sublimation of the theory of ecological civilization construction of the Party Central Committee, revealing the strategic significance of the construction of ecological civilization, clarifying the direction of action of ideological and political education in colleges and universities in the new period, and putting forward the practical requirements. The construction of ecological civilization is being pushed forward with unprecedented strength, and strengthening the education of ecological civilization has become the inherent requirement and inevitable choice of ideological and political education in colleges and universities in the new period. Colleges and universities have the responsibility and obligation to cultivate ecological concepts, strengthen ecological emotions, pay attention to behavioral guidance, etc., and constantly strengthen the ecological awareness of college students, establish a scientific ecological worldview and shape ecological beliefs, and ultimately achieve ecological civilization.
